Pleated panels are supercharged to help capture airborne allergens such as dust, smoke, dander, mold, pet dander, and dust mites. The uniform pleat shape helps increase the capacity of the filter to hold dust and maximize air flow. the frames heavy duty construction prevents air flow bypass. The uniform pleating of this filter not only allows for maximum air flow and holding capacity but also the supercharged media allows it to catch more particles from the air. The electrostatic charge of the media captures airborne allergens and particles smaller than 1 micron. This includes allergens such as dust, smoke, dander, mold, pet dander, and dust mites. It is up to 20 times more effective at capturing micro particles than ordinary fiberglass filters. This filter does not support the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew or fungi with normal use.
